Moreso as members of the learned profession, it is our civic responsibility to participate in the coming general election, it is a civic sacrament. We do not have government by the majority, but we have government by the majority who participate. Hence, the responsibility to hone our civic responsibilities.

However, voting is as much an intellectual activity as it is an emotional one. It is important you make informed decisions as your vote cannot be retrieved.
